Application procedure of AEGEE summer university:
- Become member of AEGEE=Tilburg! This can be done by the following:
- Fill in this application form(hyperlink of pdf application form) and hand it in @ one of our office hours. check the site under “kamerdiensten”.
- Visit one of the information sessions in the spring. Check the site for update
- Or just mail us for a appointment with one of us board members.
- After you become a member of AEGEE you get a memberships card. Use that card number(at the bottom) to register at http://intranet.myaegee.net/login/signUp. Couple days after you signup you will receive your username and password. With those you can sign up for SU.
With every application you have to send a motivation letter, which you have to convince the host why they should pick you as participant. If you have issues writing the motivation letter feel free to contact the board, they will gladly help you out. The application period for SU 2011 is already closed.
If you apply to several SU’s, the computer will choose the SU where your chances of acceptation are the highest. For example if there are a lot of Dutch applications for a certain SU, you chances to be accepted may be slim. So we recommend following the computers choice to improve your chances for acceptance.
1. Wait for the results of pre-selection: You motivation letter will be send to the organizers. And they will evaluate the different applications
2. The organizers select their participants; If there are more applications than they can host a selection is made among the applications.
3. Possible outcomes:
-You have been selected, congratulations! You will then receive an email with further instructions. Please conform to the host you are coming to their SU. Another thing you can do is look for travel buddies in the mailing list.
- You are on the waiting list. You haven’t made it in the first round. There is a high possibility that you will get accepted at your SU. You will receive an email by the time. Also you can keep in touch with the organizers by sending them an email to ask about the free spots
- I’m sorry, you didn’t get selected. No problem. There are always SU who will gladly accept your application. Check out the site for last minute SU’s by the time. www.aegee.org/su
