We as AEGEE believe in Europe integration of Europe. AEGEE is represented in over 200 Europe studentcities. What better way to integrate Europe to bring together the hope of future: today’s student. Byorganizing event throughout Europe we contribute to the cohesiveness of future Europeans. Especiallywith globalization where the border of national countries fades and cooperation between becomecrucial in the global environment we’re facing. The international experience will offered by the tonsevent throughout Europe by AEGEE locals all over locals.
European Affairs; Rianne van Asperen
This is the first year that my function, European Affairs, has been filled up. It is a function that is not present or required in each AEGEE-board, but can be used as complementary to the three main board positions (president, secretary and treasurer). In my function I try to make the members of AEGEE-Tilburg more ‘Europe-Active’. I inform them about European events and motivate them to apply for Summer Universities or other events that are organized. Besides I keep up to date with what happens on AEGEE-Europe level and have contact with the netcommie, the person that speaks through AEGEE-Europe. I try to make people aware of what happens of European level and motivate them to participate on AGORAE and EBMs, the statutory events of AEGEE-Europe. This year I hope to achieve that more persons know about Europe and go out to travel. In specific, I aim to get as many persons to the AGORA and EBM. Besides my task will be to write the first document of Knowledge Transfer of my function, and I really hope that my function will be extended and elaborated by the next board. Finally, I intend to enjoy my board year as much as possible, to travel as much as possible and to celebrate our anniversary in an unforgettable way!
