When you are a member of AEGEE-Tilburg, you are also a member of AEGEE-Europe, a network of over 150.000 members spread over many European cities. Every local within AEGEE organizes an event once in a while in which they invite other AEGEE-members to explore their city/region, attend their conference/festival/other type of event. There are many different kinds of events spread over the whole year. This means that we do not only have Summer Universities, but also New Year Events, Spring and Autumn AGORA’s and many conferences just during weekends or only 2 days in the week. All these events are listed in www.aegee.org/events. You can apply for any event when you are a member of an AEGEE-local. Sometimes you need to write down your motivation and you need to be selected. But sometimes many people can come and there is no need for this.
Every event invites AEGEEans from more than one local. This means that you are not only getting to know people from the country itself, but also people from other countries with other cultures. Usually the groups are quite small and they become real friends after a while of travelling together. AEGEE-events are organized by students from the city itself. In this way the cheapest ánd best options for sleeping, restaurants and nightlife are ensured. Sometimes events are extra cheap when they have received a grant. These events, usually conferences are then subsidied by the European instances like Youth in Action.

ps: If you are not able to go across borders you can also alway attend events from other Dutch locals. There are AEGEE-locals in every student city in The Netherlands, except for Wageningen. You can visit a congress in Groningen, a party of AEGEE-Utrecht, the infamous kinky party of AEGEE-Amsterdam a hitch-hiking contest in Delft and so on.
